The IRB Sevens World Series is a series of tournaments played around the world with an eventual winner announced having accumulated the most points. One of the most prestigious and well known tournaments as part of the World Series is the Hong King Sevens with other tournaments also taking in England, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Scotland – the birthplace of rugby sevens. With only a decade of tournaments, New Zealand have already proven to be the dominant force with numerous titles over the years.
