The iconic red rose has a new partner as England Rugby welcomes Canterbury to the team.
Made by Canterbury, from 88% polyester and 12% spandex, the England 2012/13 Alternate Players Match Rugby Shorts are the ones as worn by the England players.
Taking inspiration from the purple tracksuits sported by the players during the 70's, 80's and early 90's, the purple tone to these new England rugby shorts reintroduces the distinct look and honours that tradition.
Designed to complement the England home jersey, the purple tone sees the O2 sponsor stitched in gold on the front of the right leg whilst the new Canterbury logo features atop the back of the same leg and is given the same gold treatment.
From a practical perspective, the elasticated waistband incorporates a drawstring cord and grip running around the entire waist. A small pocket has also been included inside the waist, ideal for storing any essential items once you step foot onto the rugby field.
As the version worn by the players, additional spandex material features between the legs allowing for freedom of movement and further enhancing the overall comfortable fit.
