Built for speed and fast feet, this high performance Mercurial Veloce AG Rugby Boot further enhances Nike's status at the pinnacle of boot design.
Created as a take-downn and more affordable option to the high-end Mercurial Vapor IX, this model still achieves a lightweight design (227g, UK size 8) courtesy of the strong yet soft contoured teijin upper. Taking inspiration from the dimpled surface of a golf ball and featuring debossed microgrooves, this approach has been applied to quite simply reduce air resistance and enhance ball control.
Across the midsole and the contoured, perforated sockliner provides low-profile cushioning whilst helping to reduce stud pressure for enhanced performance.
A configuration of hollow conical plastic studs ensure light work is made of artificial surfaces and leave you with plenty of acceleration and manoeuvrability across this demanding surface. To give you the edge when playing on synthetic surfaces, the hollow studs increase comfort whilst the flex grooves make for more agile play.
Following on from the winning looks of fireberry and sunset, Nike have once again pushed the boundaries of design with this latest colourful offering. Rising from the deep, a neptune blue tone is embraced in a graded tone across the upper and is joined by a bright dose of volt across the signature Nike Swoosh wrapped around the toes. To complete the bold look, the Nike branding takes on a splash of pink atop the inside ankle.
