Built for speed amongst young players, this high performance Mercurial Vapor IX Kids Rugby Boot further enhances Nike's status at the pinnacle of boot design.
For young players seeking a lightweight high performance model, then the Mercurial Vapor IX FG barely touches the scales at 174g (UK size 5). This minimalist design is delivered courtesy of a strong yet soft Premium Teijin microfibre upper which has taken inspiration from the dimpled surface of a golf ball and features debossed microgrooves. This approach has been applied to quite simply reduce air resistance and enhance ball control.
Engineered to make light work of firm natural surfaces, a configuration of moulded bladed studs across the forefoot and heel delivers explosive acceleration and optimises multi-directional grip.
Across the midsole and the contoured, perforated sockliner provides low-profile cushioning whilst helping to reduce stud pressure for enhanced performance amongst young athletes. Continuing across the boot and the attention to detail has been incorporated in every aspect of this Mercurial Vapor. Inspired by track spikes, the forefoot grip zone is a subtle addition which provides vital toe-off traction for that all-important injection of speed.
Following on from the winning looks of fireberry and sunset, Nike have once again pushed the boundaries of design with this latest colourful offering. Rising from the deep, a neptune blue tone is embraced in a graded tone across the upper and is joined by a bright dose of volt across the signature Nike Swoosh wrapped around the toes. To complete the bold look, the Nike branding takes on a splash of pink flash atop the inside ankle.
