Introducing Adidas's lightest ever rugby boot, the brand new Adidas AdiZero RS7 II Pro SG Rugby Boot.
Launched following the success of their AdiZero football boots, the RS7 model is made from a Sprint Skin Upper which is light, softer and stronger than all other synthetics. This spring skin has been adapted to make it stronger than its football counterpart and able to cope with the physical demands of rugby.
To maintain a slim and minimal figure the RS7 has used a Sprint frame that is an incredible 50% lighter than all other regular TPU outsoles. Although light, strength and stability are not compromised with the midfoot support reducing injury risks through its hollow core construction. To ensure a great fitting boot, Adidas have also included a synthetic print on the inside of the heel which minimises slippage issues and also helps to break the boots in when first worn.
Even the striking zone of this boot features a synthetic print to help improve control when striking the ball, especially during wet conditions.
To achieve optimum traction, whilst remaining lightweight, the sole of the boot features a mixture of rounded and moulded studs of varying length. Ideal for wet and soft natural surfaces to give you confidence in your performance.
Compatible with the Adidas miCoach chip which fits discreetly beneath the inner sole, not included with this boot but available to purchase separately, your boots now have the ability to report back on all your progress in training and match environments. Time, speed, distance, speed zones and number of sprints are all recorded and can be monitored by simply connecting the miCoach chip to your PC or iPhone. There’s nowhere to hide now as your every move is monitored.
The miCoach chip does not come with this boot but can be purchased seperately.
In sync with its lightweight features, the RS7 is a sleek prime blue and electricity offering with the Adidas three stripes blazing along each side.
The RS7 is already proving popular amongst the rugby elite including the likes of Sonny Bill Williams, Ma'a Nonu, Bryan Habana, Mathieu Bastareaud, Mike Phillips and Joe Rokocoko.
